Freedom

Free to live. A gift from God. Acquired by faith.

Life today is a constant challenge to that freedom. True in every age.

How shall we engage this freedom; this challenge.

Act and Listen. Believe and Respond.

If we only listen; we remain unchanged.

If we only act; we serve our own righteousness.

Freedom helps us to be still in the crowded commute, the times when we are surrounded by crying children while making a meal, and while we lift our voices as one in a stadium, sanctuary, hall, or home.

Freedom fills us with love for our neighbor to sit quietly with them as the grieve their loss, to make meals for those who have nothing, and fight for those without voice.

Freedom is a gift from God. Love is its name.
