I do not consider myself a hopeless romantic nor am I a big fan of Valentine’s Day. That said I am not stupid and I realize that it does mean something to my wife and daughters. As my girls get older I want them to have a healthy perspective about this day. That is why I choose to express my love for them thoughtfully rather than blowing a months worth of pay. I still spend money, but with the question “will this bless them?” as my foundation for the purchase. My prayer for my girls is that they will one day marry a man who is thoughtful about this day, who respects them, and asks the question “how can I bless my wife?”
